THIS Sunday, December 4 at 11:30am – celebrate the holidays at the Grey Bears Annual Holiday Dinner at the Santa Cruz Civic Auditorium. The sights, sounds and aromas of the season – including Santa – will welcome you in with delicious food prepared by Santa Cruz Diner chefs, gifts, awards and exciting stage entertainment by International Academy of Dance, Elaine’s Dance Studio, Tehaunui Tahitian Dance, Casual Sax and Ruth’s Dancenter.
Friends from South County can catch the free bus from the Watsonville Senior Center to/from the event (call Valerie to reserve your seat, 831-722-1333). This fun annual event is free for everyone age 55+.
And for the 1,000 homebound seniors not able to attend, Grey Bears will deliver a holiday dinner, bag of groceries and visit from a volunteer driver on December 15-16.
For 43 years Grey Bears has improved the health and well being of seniors – through good nutrition, activity, volunteerism and social connection. We know that these activities are the keys to healthy aging and a vibrant community.
Your donation of $50 or $100 will mean that the Brown Bag Program can continue to deliver healthy food to seniors – not just at this time of year but all year long.
Please click here to make a one-time or recurring donation with a credit card. You can also mail your check payable to “Grey Bears,” 2710 Chanticleer Ave, Santa Cruz CA 95065, or stop by our office any weekday 8am-3:30pm. Thank you!
Together, you and all of us can make this holiday season a little brighter for seniors in need in Santa Cruz County. Thank you for your generosity. May you and your loved ones share a warm and wonderful holiday season.
