CRV redemption is open at Ben Lomond

Grey Bears offers California Redemption Value (CRV) buyback at the Ben Lomond Transfer Station (BLTS). We also continue to appreciate your CRV beverage container donations at our main Chanticleer and Buena Vista Landfill recycling centers.

Redemption hours: Monday-Saturday, 10am-3pm.

Look for the symbol on your beverage containers that says CA CASH REFUND or CA CRV. You can recycle those containers for a SCRIP voucher redeemable at one of three San Lorenzo Valley locations: Ben Lomond Market, Wild Roots in Felton, and The Redwood Keg Liquor & Deli in Boulder Creek.

Please note:

  • All containers must be pre-sorted by type for CRV redemption before entering the Ben Lomond Transfer Station site.
  • If recycling more than 50 containers of any one material type, the decision to pay by count or weight is determined by BLTS staff. Make sure your containers are whole and free of contaminants such as dirt, excessive liquid or other foreign substances. If you are being paid by weight, make sure the load is pre-sorted and contains only eligible CRV beverage containers.
  • Daily load limits of empty CRV beverage containers are 100 pounds each for aluminum cans and plastic (#1 PET), and 1,000 pounds for glass. If the load includes containers not eligible for CRV, BLTS staff may reject your load.
