Girl Scouts love Grey Bears

rachel_with_kids_closeThe artistic skills of several hundred girl scouts were on display at the recent Girl Scouts Boardwalk Beach Bash. As part of the event’s community service project, the girls were given blank place mats and drawing utensils after breakfast and before the sand castle competition.

The enthusiastic group created beautiful works of art that will adorn dozens of tables at the Grey Bears Annual Holiday Dinner, taking place on Sunday, December 8 at 11:30am at the Santa Cruz Civic Auditorium.

The colorful placemats – along with a talented lineup of local entertainment – will surely bring smiles to the faces of the 1,500 seniors expected to attend the free annual dinner. Thanks scouts!
