Our for-profit corporation, SCRAP (the Santa Cruz Recycling Alliance Program) has now taken over the majority of Waste Management's cardboard accounts, about 400 accounts. Established in 1992 as the cardboard collection arm of the Grey Bears, SCRAP produces approximately 350 bales of cardboard a month, each bale weighing 1200 pounds.
